Выпускная работа Элины Масинг вместе со студентами программы исполнительских искусств Тартуского университета, Вильяндиской академии культуры. Спектакль отталкивается от чувства нереализованного потенциала и рассматривает сопротивление, злобность и враждебность как проявления горечи. Постановка основана на собственном тексте Масинг и создана вместе с хореографами, режиссёрами и актёрами программы, а также Marko Raat, Evelin Lagle и Levila.

People often feel that they are talented, special, and extraordinary. Unfortunately, it often happens that there is no place in the world where that potential can be realized. What happens when our passion finds neither purpose nor acceptance? What happens when things do not turn out the way we want them to? That feeling is the starting point of this process. For the first time, I want to rely on a script that I have written myself.

I am interested in resistance, spitefulness, and hostility as symptoms of bitterness. What happens in a space when these feelings are not hidden, but consciously kept visible?

It’s time, pull yourself together. Either you stop deceiving yourself and admit that not everything happens because of circumstances: because of childhood, an uncle, capitalism, or god. Or you end this story on a sad note, step away from your dreams, and little by little this happy, bitter bitterness turns into rigid bitterness.

Elina Masing’s journey began at the Tallinn Ballet School, where life was linear and uncompromising. In her final year of school, she realized the limitations of that field and instead found freedom of expression in performance art. During her university years, she completely opposed her earlier self: shaved her head and peed into a jar on stage. She also created the musical alter ego Valge Tüdruk (White Girl) and began acting.

In the years after school, she has continued exploring different fields, choosing the form according to the content. She engages in activism and challenges rigid rules, and lately she has become increasingly interested in enjoying both the creative process and the artwork itself. Recently she lived in Portugal and now studies music production in the Netherlands.
