Create solutions for safer cities! On 24-25 September 2026, Tallinn will host an international hackathon as part of Estonian Defence Week. During two intensive days, new solutions will be born to make cities safer and more resilient.

The Hackathon will take place at the Energia Avastuskeskus (Energy Discovery Centre) and will bring together participants from all over Europe in cooperation with the cities of Tallinn, Valencia, Helsinki, Lviv and Dnipro.

The best teams will have the opportunity to pilot their solutions in one of five participating cities – Tallinn, Helsinki, Valencia, Dnipro or Lviv – with a total funding pool of up to €75,000 available to support implementation and maximise the impact of their solutions.

By joining City Resilience Hack, you will have the opportunity to:work on real challenges from partner cities

collaborate with people from business, defence, technology, design, public sector and research

develop a solution with practical relevance

gain access to test environments and pilot projects in partner cities

compete for an opportunity to join the Tehnopol acceleration programme and receive support for further developing your solution

Who we are looking forTo create pilot-ready solutions that make cities safer and more resilient, we are looking for talent, teams, and startups across business, defence, technology, data, cybersecurity, logistics, urban planning, health, UX, and UI design to hack together.
