Start by watching a game, then ask whether someone would like to play. Check the language of any instruction; food, drinks and sauna may cost extra.

MABRIK’s board-game club at Tuukri 50 advertises free use of its playing space and a selection of games. That does not guarantee an open group when you arrive. Can a beginner join, and will English work for this session?” 3. At the event, introduce yourself to the host or ask another visitor how they found it. 4. If you enjoyed it, ask about the next session. Return to a format you like, rather than filling every evening with new groups.
