Meetup

Browse Tallinn groups for language exchange, board games, outdoor activities or professional interests. The local listing currently includes Daily Meetups, Tallinn Coffee and Tea Socials and Toastmasters. Start with a group that has an upcoming date, then read its description and RSVP conditions.

Cost and access: A free member account is available. Group dues and event fees may apply; Meetup+ is a separate optional subscription.

Check the participation language, date and organiser approval before joining.

InterNations

InterNations has a Tallinn community with official events and interest-based activities. It is a place to look for international social gatherings and a community you can return to. Open the local calendar and examine the access conditions for the activity you want.

Cost and access: Group activities generally require a paid membership, with specified exceptions. Check membership and event costs separately before paying.

A community profile does not mean every activity is free or open to non-members.

Meet People Social

The Tallinn page describes meetups for locals, newcomers and international students, with conversation, language exchange and social games. Choose this when you want the purpose of the gathering to be meeting people. Use the dated listing to find the venue and reservation link.

Cost and access: Attendance may be paid. The listing checked on 11 September showed €3; food and drinks are separate. This is an example, not a permanent price.

The community chat requires login. Verify the current time, location and ticket conditions.

Fienta

Fienta’s Tallinn catalogue covers music, theatre, workshops and other activities, with date and category filters. Use it when you already know the kind of evening you want. Open the specific event to check its venue, ticket options and participation language.

Cost and access: Events may be paid or free. Compare available ticket tiers and conditions rather than relying on a headline minimum.

An event catalogue does not guarantee a social host or a group for solo visitors.

ESN Tallinn

ESN Tallinn describes game nights, quizzes, cultural visits and trips for an international student community. Start with its calendar and current community links. This is a focused option for students looking for peers and an organised activity.

Cost and access: Prices and access depend on the event. Check registration, student eligibility and any ESNcard conditions.

Not every activity can be assumed to be open to non-students.

HUVI Tallinn

Tallinn’s municipal portal lists city events, exhibitions and hobby activities. It is useful when you want to explore local life as well as international gatherings. Check the date, location and any free-entry label on the specific listing.

Cost and access: The portal includes both free and paid activities; verify each event.

The reviewed portal content is in Estonian. Neither an English translation nor a city listing establishes English participation.

Which one should you start with?

For a group around an interest, try Meetup. For a community focused on international residents, compare InterNations with Meet People Social and their access conditions. Students can start with ESN. For a particular concert, workshop or city activity, check Fienta or HUVI.

Before registering, check the participation language, full cost, date and whether the format suits someone coming alone. An English webpage alone does not answer those questions.
