SecretBar Book Club #1Albert Camus — The StrangerWhat happens when someone refuses to feel what society expects them to feel?

Join us for the first SecretBar Book Club — an evening of books, conversation and new people in the intimate atmosphere of SecretBar.

Our first book is Albert Camus’ The Stranger, a short but thought-provoking novel about absurdity, freedom, morality and our search for meaning.

You don’t have to read the whole book to join.

Reading it beforehand is encouraged, but if you’re short on time, becoming familiar with the story through a summary is absolutely enough to take part in the discussion.

The evening will be moderated by a trained philologist and practising English teacher who is also an avid reader and grew up surrounded by literature — her mother is a literature teacher.

This is not a lecture or a literature class. Expect an open, relaxed discussion where different interpretations are welcome.

Come alone or bring a friend — you don’t need to know anyone beforehand.
